Once Upon a Time is a five-course degustation matched with Best’s Great Western Wines, delivered in the basement of the Ballarat Mechanics Institutes (BMI), A room that was intended to be a restaurant but never came to be.

153 years after its creation, we are bringing it to life for one night with Peasant’s signature modern take on European peasant food. An ethereal progressive musical performance by Amie Brulee. And the best of Best’s wine.

A night of choreographed food, wine and art that conjures the mood of this long-forgotten space in one of Ballarat’s most loved heritage buildings.
